Jordan Brown is a graduate of Utah Valley University, receiving a B.S. in Psychology in 2019. He currently works for the State of Utah's Department of Veterans and Military Affairs as a Veterans Service Officer, assisting veterans and current U.S. service members understand and apply for various types of assistance through the VA and the state of Utah. Jordan's primary interest in working in the SCIP lab is to understand how research involving social cognition and intergroup perception can be applied to organizational environments. Jordan's goal is to attend graduate school to study Industrial/Organizational Psychology.
Adabelle Carson is a returning undergraduate student majoring in Psychology at the University of Utah. As an entrepreneur, Adabelle has travelled the world sharing a holistic approach to wellness with yoga, meditation, plant medicines, and energy work. After many years experiencing anecdotal evidence of the efficacy of these methods, she is excited to be a member of the SCIP lab to gain a working understanding of the scientific method and the process of acquiring empirical data. Upon graduating, Adabelle intends to pursue a postgraduate degree in the field of research with an emphasis in Social Psychology.
Kate Kranz: I am a third-year undergraduate student majoring in Psychology with a double minor in Business and Philosophy. In addition to being a RA for the SCIP Lab, I volunteer my time as a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) for the Utah courts. As a CASA, my responsibilities are to advocate for the best interest of abused and neglected children under the child welfare system through reporting to their Guardian ad Litem, who represents them in court. I decided to major in Psychology as it is most applicable and scalable to all my interests, as the knowledge it provides me becomes useful in marketing, fitness, education, and reforming social justice.
Syrenna Lisonbee is a fourth year undergraduate student at the University of Utah. She is majoring in Psychology and has previously worked with the psychiatry department on neuropsychological research. With a background in music, she is interested in researching how cultural differences can influence perceptions of stimuli. Hoping to eventually pursue a doctorate in graduate school, she is excited to be able to work with the SCIP lab with her fellow RAs!
Josh Marchant: I'm in my third year at the University of Utah and I'm studying psychology with a minor in music. My goal is to get a PhD in clinical psychology and open up my own practice here in Utah. I teach piano for a living and my wife and I are expecting a new baby boy this Spring! I love doing basketball and playing piano in my free-time.
Carlos Muñoz is a fourth-year undergraduate student at the University of Utah, majoring in Psychology. Carlos is particularly interested in issues of developmental and social psychology, including applications in to racial issues in America. In his free time, he enjoys running, singing, reading, and exploring the outdoors. He is working towards eventually applying for a Psychology Ph.D. program and is excited to gain valuable research experience in the SCIP lab.
Meagan Munoz: I am a second-year undergraduate student at the University of Utah. I am majoring in psychology and with a minor in sociology. I am interested in pursuing a graduate degree in school psychology. In my free time, I like to hike, kayak, and volunteer through the Bennion Center.
Angel Picos: I'm an undergraduate student at the University of Utah graduating in Spring 2023. I am dual majoring in Psychology and Sociology with an emphasis in therapy. After graduating, I have always been passionate about helping people especially those who are suffering from mental health conditions, through my education I hope to administer therapy and mental health services to aid people everywhere. I hope to pursue a doctorate degree in Clinical Psychology, with this I hope to practice therapy and especially help those in the Latinx community.
In my free time, I love to go to the gym or go hiking outside, spending time with friends, and listening to all kinds of music.
Rosemary Richards: I am a Junior at the University of Utah. Born in Washington, DC, but due to the military moved every couple of years growing up. I plan to attend law school, and hopefully work as a Hospital Malpractice Attorney. In my free time I enjoy anything outdoors and finding a new show to binge watch.
Matthew Snyder is an undergraduate student at the University of Utah. They are majoring in Psychology and are excited to gain experience as a research assistant in the lab.
Dallin Woolford is a second year undergraduate student working on a major in Psychology. He is focused on Abnormal Behavior and mental health. He is originally from Seattle, WA and because of that he loves Evergreen Forests and the rain! When not working, you can find him either writing, drawing, or working on origami
